The gay issue Part 2
The issue with Sodom and Gomorrah
This one is used a lot too. I recently heard a female preacher use this one in a women’s conference at the Potter’s House where TD Jakes is the bishop. I was rather disgusted though, as her ignorance was profound. That these preachers can preach such lies to incite hatred is beyond words.
The truth about Sodom and Gomorrah has nothing to do with homosexuality. I read Josh 10 one day. There is a mention of a certain book called the Book of Jasher. I found this book on the internet and read it. It contained a detailed account of what really happened in Sodom and Gomorrah in Chapters 18 – 19. I urge you to research this for yourself as the chapters are too long to post here. But it does tie in with a scripture I found elsewhere in the Bible:
Eze 16:48 [As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters.
Eze 16:49 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fullness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
Eze 16:50 And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw [good].
I think I have proved my point here, that our extremely zealous preachers are passionate about stirring up homophobia, which is rooted in hatred and fear. I also discuss this on my God’s Friends website for those who want to visit it.
Then there is "Secret Mark"
One of the Early Church Fathers, Bishop Clement of Alexandria, was found to have modified the Gospel of Mark. He admitted tampering with the Book of Mark. The portion of scripture removed was later known as Secret Mark. Clement wrote a letter to another church leader, in which he admits to making this modification. The portion of scripture Clement removed depicts a rich young man called Lazarus, being raised from the dead. But throughout this time he was scantily clad in a linen cloth. And the actual description creates the image of a very gay young John Lazarus. He was ultimately the John (John Lazarus) who laid his head on the chest of Jesus at the last supper. He is referred to as the man whom Jesus loved on a few places. He also pops up later in the Gospel of John and again in Mark:
Joh 21:20 Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?
Joh 21:21 Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what [shall] this man [do]?
Joh 21:22 Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what [is that] to thee? follow thou me.
Mar 14:50 And they all forsook him, and fled.
Mar 14:51 And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about [his] naked [body]; and the young men laid hold on him:
Mar 14:52 And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.
Here is the missing scripture from Secret Mark:
"And they come into Bethany. And a certain woman whose brother had died was there. And, coming, she prostrated herself before Jesus and says to him, 'Son of David, have mercy on me.' But the disciples rebuked her. And Jesus, being angered, went off with her into the garden where the tomb was, and straightway a great cry was heard from the tomb. And going near, Jesus rolled away the stone from the door of the tomb. And straightaway, going in where the youth was, he stretched forth his hand and raised him, seizing his hand. But the youth, looking upon him, loved him and began to beseech him that he might be with him. And going out of the tomb, they came into the house of the youth, for he was rich. And after six days Jesus told him what to do, and in the evening the youth comes to him, wearing a linen cloth over his naked body. And he remained with him that night, for Jesus taught him the mystery of the Kingdom of God. And thence, arising, he returned to the other side of the Jordan."
I hope that this post would somehow shed a bit of light on our darkness. I know many folks out there would not accept it, and they would rather see gay people burn in hell than be saved. I believe God’s Spirit is about to be poured out upon ALL flesh including the gay communities of the world. We so desperately need revival.
The Spirit of Jezebel and the Gay community
I have also come to understand that the spirit of Jezebel has had a personal vendetta against the gay community for thousands of years. She was ultimately killed by her own eunuchs (check out the Bible for this one!) and as a result she aims to rob us from our rightful inheritance and harvest – just as she did with Naboth and his vineyard. And in doing so the Body of Christ as a whole is being robbed of their rightful harvest. She needs to go and quickly too. The gay people will be the vessel of this once again. And then there is the promise in Rev 2-3 to those who do not tolerate her: They will be given a sceptre to rule the nations. Wow!! Is that not awesome? I am very excited about what God is going to do in the gay communities of the world, and already slowly some mainstream prophets out there are picking up on this.
Blessings and peace
