Help with finding a home church

I'm basically Reformed Baptist in my beliefs and had to move to an area that has no reformed churches. The churches in the area are very anti-calvinist. A C&MA church we have visited has the best preaching but all I know about it is on their web site. I have concerns of the four-fold Gospel, which are good statements but are not the Gospel. Any suggestions?
The reason I am posting this here instead of looking for a church, is because I would like Calvinists responses rather than everyone else's.

OK, I can't vouch for the particular church, but if I were in your situation I'd probably try it out.

Grace Church Elizabethtown
1105 Woodland Dr.
Elizabethtown, KY

It's probably rather small. The Presbyterian Church in Kentucky has generally been pretty liberal, but the PCA is a reasonably American Presbyterian church.

Apparently it's next to a nursing home too. So expect a relatively older population represented there. OTOH, I've found older populations in churches provide a lot more for their churches, without it taking many hundreds of us job-obsessed people to organize it.

There is a Reformed Baptist Church in Louisville which sholdn't be too much of a drive for you, there is also a free grace church there that I am very familiar with. I attend Grace Baptist in Danville, Ky where Don Fortner is the pastor. It is probably a little more than an hour from you but I drive 45 minutes to get there.

We have been trying to find a church close to home so we can be active in serving. Also, my wife is disabled and cannot handle a far ride and our 10 yr old needs good teaching where he doesn't fall asleep. Not to mention we are poor and cannot afford much gas. We've been trying to keep the drive as close as possible and Louisville and Elizabethtown are both 30 mins away. RBC of Louisville is about an hour away. Grace is a half hour and the C&MA is 20 mins.
We used to attend Sojourn Community Church which is an Acts29 and is associated with the SBC. We loved it there and the C&MA is the closest to their style of liturgy in the area that we've found.
We want to go where we can worship, grow, and serve.

I know of a fellow over in Washington County who pastors a very small group I believe in his home. If you think it may be close enough for you I will PM you his phone number. He is Calvinistic to the core but not Reformed and very Christ centered. Other than that I am afraid that there are no good churches that I am aware of in your vicinity.

I attended a C&MA church in Morgantown while going to WVU back in the early 1970s. The church adhered to the "Fourfold Gospel" but had some of the best preaching I have ever heard. The pastor once preached on the Soverignty of God and came close to being Calvinistic in his views. Yet he vehemently denied being a Calvinist. Mainly because of the negative carciture of Calvinism most people have. I teasingly said to him "Watch out. You sounded like a Calvinist" He laughed. He knew my views.

Same at the C&MA church here. The pastor went to Boyce College so he knows my beliefs. They do not ascribe to the "alter call" or pressure people into "decisional regeneration". The Fourfold Gospel is where I have concerns. I agree Jesus is our savior and sanctified, but I believe he is our present king and not just the coming king, and although I believe he heals, I do not believe it to be the norm. Also I believe the Gospel is a message and not boxed into four points as they do.

I think they have the 4fold Gospel as a mnemonic device to remember some of the distinctions of C&MA theology. Though I have great respect for people in the church, they did come out of the Higher Life Movement of the 1800s. I love Tozer, but think he has a tendency to be a little too mystical in his thinking. But he was not a theologian. He was a pastor.

What we are looking for in a church are these: contrary to most Calvinist churches, we're looking for a church that has a good children's worship porgram. My wife can't handle our 10 yr old wallering around or sleeping during the service. The Lord's Supper every Sunday. Modern hymns and worship, not just a piano and organ. And solid Gospel preaching by men, not the how-to, self-help , "what God can do for you" man centered preaching.
