I believe the name of the ministry is of significant value. In the Bible, the names often determined the direction of that life.

Even my name is so very appropriate. Ian (John) - God is gracious. Absolutely true how God is so gracious to me. He turned my life around and gave me so so much.

Praise Him...for He alone is worthy to be praised!

How about a contest? Let the kids suggest names and then vote on the one they like the best. The winner could get a CD or something. Nothing makes a youth group bond and all that than letting them be a part of naming the group!

oooo! I like all of those too. Fishers of men is a great one!! We used New Hope Soaring Eagles, it went with our Christian school mascot (Eagles).

Our theme song was part of I believe I can fly! Having the kids pick is a really good idea too. Not sure you have seen this or not,(for those of you in the south) G.R.I.T.S =God Rocks In The South

Can we suggest more names especially not-intimidating ones cause many other youths (not yet saved) would be a bit uncomfortable or the unsaved parents may be uncomfortable
