Help Us And Comfort Us

Father in Heaven, Thank you for your graciousness to us. We need your strength and comfort. Without Christ we are weak. Without the Holy Spirit of God we lack comfort. O Lord, grant us strength and comfort. In the power of the Holy Spirit, God's will be done. In Jesus' name. Amen.

A daily prayer that God would "turn to us, and be gracious to us; Oh grant Your strength to Your servants, and save the sons of Your handmaid. Show us a sign for good, that those who hate us may see it and be ashamed, because You, O Lord, have helped us and comforted us." (Psalms 86:16-17)

16 I say again, let no man think me a fool; if otherwise, yet as a fool receive me, that I may boast myself a little. 17 That which I speak, I speak it not after the Lord, but as it were foolishly, in this confidence of boasting. 18 Seeing that many glory after the flesh, I will glory also. 19 For ye suffer fools gladly, seeing ye yourselves are wise. 20 For ye suffer, if a man bring you into bondage, if a man devour you, if a man take of you, if a man exalt himself, if a man smite you on the face. 21 I speak as concerning reproach, as though we had been weak.

Howbeit whereinsoever any is bold, (I speak foolishly,) I am bold also.

22 Are they Hebrews? so am I. Are they Israelites? so am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? so am I. 23 Are they ministers of Christ? Father in Heaven, Thank you for hearing our prayers. Lift up our heads and comfort us when we are weary. Help the weak and innocent, the little ones, the orphans and widows, to find shelter under the shadow and protection of Your wings. Pray Ye, O LORD, bring unity to Your people, the contrite of heart, the repentant, together in Your name, in Your Holy Church. Above all, let us bring blessings of praise, honor, and glory, and power to God. In Jesus' name. Amen.

And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. (Revelation 5:13)
