Today at church service people were praying in tongues and some receive the gift of praying in tongues. I felt real sad because I can't speak in tongues and hearing everyone around me made feel worse. I do pray to God and even watch some videos how to pray in tongues but I can't. Is there something wrong with me? I wish I could pray in the spirit.

It's the lesser of the fruits of the spirit st Paul says, so don't worry.
Often times it's showing off and spiritual pride rather than piety.
They are so spiritual, but often times they think they speak in tongues only to pray in gibberish.

God bless, faith and discipleship is about giving ones heart to Christ not showing off.

You don't need to speak gibberish to pray in the Spirit.

If you're a Christian, you're indwelt by the Holy Spirt. So if you're a Christian, every time you pray, you're praying in the Spirit.

It’s all gobbledegook. How many people were praying in ‘tongues’ at a time? Compare that to what Scripture says about when tongues is spoken.

How many people were interpreting ‘tongues’ being spoken? Compare that to what Scripture says about when tongues is spoken.

You’ll soon realise your church is full of frauds.

"Frauds" might be overstating it a little bit. I have no doubt that they're very sincere. But they're also very misguided.

Agree with the rest of your post, though.

When praying in other tongues, it is for a purpose. Was there anyone there that did not understand English? Was there one who interprets the tongue? If not, then why?

I advise you to leave that church, and go to one that has sound biblical teaching, if you can find one.

These things usually accompany the worship leaders which is not usually worship but entertainment. The worship should be in the preaching of the word.
  • Luke 10:38 Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
  • 39And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.
  • 40But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.
  • 41And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
  • 42But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
Mary was worshipping the Lord by listening to His Word. We should do likewise.

It is how I view it because it deceives others. I have long maintained that the best way for Satan to undermine Christ in the long-term and not just someone falling in to temptation one time is to convince them their unrighteousness is righteousness.

A woman I worked with really suffered a lot emotionally and mentally because she couldn't pray in tongues when everyone else at her church could and she was looked down on because she couldn't. That's Satan. That's the wolf amongst the sheep, dividing the flock.

The issue here is the understanding of what the gift of tongues is.

Acts 2:7

7In wonder and amazement, they asked, “Are not all these men who are speaking Galileans? 8How is it then that each of us hears them in his own native language?

..... in his own native language. There is no "secret language".

The Holy Spirit gave them the gift to speak in already established languages of the time. When you pray ... pray in your own language.

When you pray ... pray in your own language.

Exactly.

This is what makes no sense about people today praying in 'tongues'. God knows all that was, is and will be. He speaks every tongue, He hears the unspoken and He knows our hearts better than we do... yet people still think we need to rattle off utter nonsense(glossolalia) in order to be heard? In order to be taken seriously? To edify? No!

The main point of the spiritual gifts is to edify the church. Those who can speak in tongues are instructed to pray so they can interpret the tongue, so that the whole church can be edified, not just themselves.
.
An important point to take from this is that peer pressure is not of the Holy Spirit, it is of the flesh. Pray to God and ask in what ways you can edify the body of Christ, this is the point of all gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Paul never said that. He said I wish you all pray in tongues.

4 He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.

5 I would that ye all spake with tongues but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.

6 Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine?

7 And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped?

8 For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?

9 So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air.

10 There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification.

11 Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me.

12 Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.

13 Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.

14 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.

15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.

16 Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest?

17 For thou verily givest thanks well, but the other is not edified.

18 I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:

19 Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue. - 1 Corinthians 14:4-19
