  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
Revelation 2:4

So okay yes I do love God for all that Jesus has done for me. And I know that if I seek God with all my heart I will find Him (Jeremiah 29:12-13). But the problem is when I was younger I decided that I would honor God and pass up chances I had at sex, for my first 5 years as a Christian no problem, I could still find girlfriends. Will now after be a hermit for so long, I feel as if God has rob me of any chance with the opposite sex, and now I'm nearly 47, and fill like the biggest loser for following this route, yes I still a virgin, and it is wrecking my relationship with God. I know some people have no problem with this in their live, and more power to them. But every time I try to get closer to God I can hear these four verses in my head:

And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
Genesis 2:18

Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.
Proverbs 18:22

Nevertheless to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
I Corinthians 7:2

Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
Hebrews 13:4

So how can one, who is having this kind of issue with their faith, truly seek God with all ones heart?:confused::confused:

This past weekend at church we've been studying about relationships (of all kinds, not just man/woman) and our Pastor talked about how we sometimes take one of two roads. Either we take the religious road where WE control everything we do by abstaining or doing something for God and that's our idea of God loving us and we kind of feel like God owes us, or we take the irreligious route where we judge God. This is where we question God, or blame God for everything bad in our lives.

Here is the sermon if you care to listen to it.
