Hi LogicTruthSeeker It is wonderful that you know that there is a God. I must say that I wonder what you have been praying about or for. Many times when I am praying for myself I seek peace in my day-to-day life. When I get upset about something it often stays with me for quite a while. That is one of the things that I have been working on with God, is to "Put my cares upon Him, because He cares for us". Our burdens are heavy to us, because of the way we think and that we tend to 'worry, worry, worry'. But what worry does is it takes much energy and creativity to worry and/or find peace. What I would do is really think about your life. What are the things that would most greatly benefit you and I would pray for those things. Now there is the element of casting your cares upon Him, but God wants to be that rock for us. I will say though, that God's timing is not our timing. Many times I wait for an answer for a while, that is why it is important to trust and live your life at the same time. Also God blesses the humble. Finding gratefulness and thankfulness in what you already have (might be a good job, healthy family, many loved ones, a pet, or any number of things). Don't feel that you have to 'do or be' anything while you pray. Just talk to God about what is truly in your heart, because He already knows, but He doesn't interfere, you need to ask for His help. God Bless You. Feel free to DM me if you like.
