• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hi I'm berry new here. Diagnositically my illness is kind of between the cracks which makes it all the more annoying to live with and deal with but most closely I am bipolar NOS. I experience the depression very deeply and the mania only slightly if ever but man oh man do I have the mood swings and lot of the "mixed" states where I'm experiencing agitated depression. I've been in the hospital twice (about a year ago) but I blame the medication for that (bad side effects). Anyways I hope it is okay if I come and hang with you guys here....seems like you might understand.

Yes, we understand and welcome to our forum. we look ofrward to hearing more from you. I have bp 2 so i spent most of my time in very deep depresion and had hypomanias very rarely. Stable on meds now but still see the treads of the illness in my coping styles and with certain triggers, but have learned a great deal not only about myself, but about our amazing God who promises to meet all your needs over the last 12 years of this illness (it got very severe than and I was no longer able to work). So welcome and blessings!!!

Hello and Welcome to our little group.

I was diagnosed with Bipolar 1 a couple of years ago. Like you I have mixed states plus tend to rapid cycle. The great thing about this group is that people really do understand where you are coming from and how it feels. There is a whole lot of support and encouragement to be found here. :groupray: I look forward to getting to know you better.

Joyfully,
colleen

welcome Berry. But if you feel better maybe you don't need to come here frequently.;)

This is a helpful group, an exciting thing to get or provide help. We patients of BP are usually sensitive in feeling; maybe it is a blessing and cross.

Peace, Yusuph
