I have been in cf for a while but havn't had the courage to 'come out' about my bi-polar....I occasionally read other posts and can relate...I just want to dance , sing, and spend money .....please will I be supported by you other sufferes

The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Absolutely!!! Welcome!!!!! We all go through the ups and downs and it is so nice to come here and share our ups and rejoice with one other and to share our downs and recieve support an prayers. Often times advice from others who have been helps us to see things in ourselves or give us info we have never heard before!!! I am so glad you have come here. I also enjoy checking in on the general struggles and depression threads!!!! God bless and feel freee to post or pm me anytime!!!!

Boy, that is one of my current worries. When I am angry i fear yelling at someone inapprop and doing that and when i am just a little manic and more talkitive than my more noraml depressed self, I fear that I don't know the normal social norms and will talk to a stranger more than is considered approp or even talk too much around friends and take ove rthe conversation or whatever! Maybe even say something about someone else I really shouldn't have. . . One issue with this illness for me so far is not trusting my own judgement, always second guessing myself.
Recently i had posted on a fourm and I felt the response was very inflammatory and even insulting so i chose not to respond anymore. I went back to check out thi shtread yesterday for no reason and read the same posts again and thought -well, what was I so upset about that wasn't so bad. Then I starr wondering well, maybe I wa sjust more prepared for it this time and then if I let myself I can tie myself up in knots trying to figure out what the "right" reaction "should be" I am trying to learn to trust my own judgement at the time more. Learning more about thuings at the same time, and finding a few freinds I can trust to be truthful and gentle to give me feedback and help me think clearer so i can adjust my thinking. I am praying for you. I often pray for the aHoly Sprit to control my mind when I am manic/angry-to renew my mind-both Scripture, but I just thouhgt of it as I was typing-maybe I should add a prayer for Him to control mytongue as well. See, Yu being here has already helped me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Praying your weekend will be filled with the peace and a new knowledge of the love of God!!!!

Welcome to our bi-polar forum! I have had so much positive feedback here! It has really helped me out so much! My problem lately is not wanting to have a day come, I know it has to but, I can't seem to handle my days. On top of that, My physical and bi-polar problems prevent me from working and we are almost losing our home! My husband just found GOD and has already been trown a few tests. He is not doing well passing these tests Oh, Well, I have so many people here praying for him and myself!! I will also pray for you

God will and is helping you both. Lord, please wrap your arms around merri and Zita. Bring them peace and comfort during these times. Help them to feel safe and secure in your arms and the depths of your love. Lord, your word says nothing can take us from your hands and Lord we claim that for the difficult time boht of these sisters in Christ are going thru right now!!! Lord, touch Merri and and Zita and calm her mind and concerns. Lord we pray theswe times will be over quickly and relief will come! I Jesus name, AMEN

Sometimes drinking or pills comes with bi-polar and they call it " dual" problem we have. You really have to try so much harder now! It doesn't seem fair but for those of us that are dual, we have a longer road. But, GOD wouldn't have given us something we couldn't handle!!! Never give up faith!!!
