Hello everyone!

I hadn't really planned on joining a forum but it was suggested by God almighty so I am doing so. I hope to meet family members of the body of Christ (those with the Holy Spirit) and to inspire others to repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus so they, too, can receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

From what I understand, because I was not fruitful in the spirit for a while, I was almost cast out and burnt up. I hope that happens to nobody 'cause that would mean you are useless to God Himself. It's quite a scary thought. I nearly went to hell! None-the-less, I am listening to the Holy Spirit, reading my Holy Bible (KJV) everyday now and trying to be less, "lazy" and slack in my spiritual growth and physical life.

I have been through quite a journey though I cannot explain it all. Hope all is well with everyone.

P.S. My favorite question to fellow Christians; "What is your favorite scripture verse?"

Ironically, mine is Matthew 13 (parable of the sower). This parable explains the path to being spiritually fruitful (if I am not mistaken). I'll have to read it again, lol... So yes, it is strange it's the scripture I chose a long time ago and I nearly failed it.

Shalom!

Welcome brother!

Its a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Hebrews 10:31

I'm so happy He has you now.

I share a similar testimony.

Praise be to our God,
In Christ Jesus or Lord's name,
Amen.

Welcome WorthyCause!

I have many favourites... it's impossible for me to choose. They often have special meaning in particular circumstances. Reading your post, I am reminded of this verse:

Hebrews 13:5
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.

This was a promise God gave to Joshua, but the writer to the Hebrews takes it and applies it to all of us. It is also consistent with another favourite Bible section - John 13-17. And especially Jesus prayer to the Father about his followers.

Romans 8:38-39
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

With a conviction like that, and all evidence bearing it out, you should feel secure in God's love. Now our challenge is to live like we believe it, to show the same love to others, so that they may know it too, and live to praise God.

Welcome!:)

It's impossible to pick, but these are verses that come to my mind often.

The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?
Psalms 118:6

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
Philippians 1:6

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Philippians 4:6

Greetings, @WorthyCause4Christ, and welcome to CF! May you find great fellowship and godly encouragement here, and may God bless you abundantly as you follow Him in love and obedience.

One of my many favorite Scripture passages is Matthew 11:28-30.
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (KJV)

Welcome and...
My FAVORITE verse of the whole content of God's Word???? hmmmmmm It's changed over the years but the one I keep going back to is THOUGH HE SLAY ME, YET WILL I TRUST HIM!
(Nevertheless I will argue my ways before Him.) :D Job 13:15

It helps me realize the tender mercies and grace of God and that He "upbraideth not" when I talk with Him about MY concerns.

Philippians is a wonderful Epistle: verse 6 of chapter 1 really is pivotal; it's good to remember the sovereignty of God in sustaining the spiritual life that He in Christ has started.

In chapter 4 - as in 1 Thess. 5 - the themes of prayer, thanksgiving and joy are interwoven. :)
