Hi my name is John and ill like to talk about myself

grew up and started watching porn in 1st grade.
played sports all my life
in high school played football from 9th-10th grade
got 4 concussions and was told to stop.
was already big football guy, but then got depressed and put on 100 lbs.
quit my school in 11th grade. went to independent study. was too hard
. failed everything this year.

my porn addiction is bad. beating off 5 plus times a day. Feelsbadman

I'm praying for you man. Remember that you are bigger than your problems unless you make them define you. Stay strong and pray even when you feel like God isn't. listening keepa sking him to deliver you. Start slow by limiting the. amount of videos you watch a day and cut them down every week. Make the decision in your heart to want to change. Look at porn as if while your watching it,God is watching you...always. A lot of people struggle with porn but it should not control you. Satan would love to control. you but you have power over him he loves when we fail. You can't keep sinning and go to heaven so pray for a breakthrough. God blessed you.

God loves you unconditionally John. There isn't anything we can do to make him love us more or less. When you feel horrible pray, when we are down he is closest to us. When you are tempted, resist as best as you can when we resist Satan he flees, try deleting things that make you tempted. And never forget your sisters and brothers are always here to offer advice.

Welcome. I am new to these forums, I am 17 years old, going on to 10th grade.. Yeah.. I'm supposed to be a junior, I know.. Anyway:

I have the same addiction, and I feel you man. I am glad that you decided to join the forums and post your problem for us to help you out. My suggestion is to pray to Him, and pray even though he you think he isn't listening, because trust me, he is listening to every word you say. He loves you no matter what, he wants you to trust in him, and he wants you to pray.

I took these steps in an attempt to quit watching Porn:
1. Told my Mom (this is a VERY hard thing to do, and she took it quite well, and is very willing in helping me stop.)
2. My intern/counselor. (The place I live at is a ministry for single Mom's, and we have interns. I have a male intern that I asked for tips and suggestions, they are good listeners too.)
3. Installed a filter, had Mom password it so that I can't bypass anything. I even added some of my favorite sites that I used to go to to bypass filters, to reduce my chance of seeing any material.
4. Pray, pray long and hard, and he will answer you, and guide you through this difficult time, like I said, I feel you, and I am trying to overcome this addiction. It's like you don't even think when doing it. I will be praying for you, and others' as well.
