Hello my name is Jack and I am a single Baptist American Texan. (lol Jack the BAT
) I have been a lurker for a few weeks on here and finally decided to join last night. I have been a Christian for many years, but not until recently has God really opened my eyes on a lot of subjects and things in my life through (what I believe) trials of some sorts.
As far as what interest me: I love movies! I have a huge blu-ray collection. I have a dream one day to become a film maker. I would love to make movies based on real life drama with Christians or movies about Christians struggling with certain things. I love to read Christian literature. I love music of all kinds except heavy metal and rap, anything else I really like. My favorites though are country and christian. I also like to read Batman graphic novels as well as crime stories. I love to laugh but will not listen to anything or watch any type of comedy that makes fun of our Lord Jesus Christ or God.
I am a very understanding man and am friendly to everyone I meet and do not believe in "black balling" or mistreating any other human being at all, just because they are different.
I have been single for a couple of months and am praying and searching for a companion to complete my life. I desire a family one day and love family in general. I am trying to be both patient and picky in that department though because when I marry someone I want the it to be to someone God wants me to be married to and someone I am very comptable with because I do not ever want to go through a divorce.
For the past few months I have really been reading the Bible and reading a lot of Christian literature. I thank God for his everlasting love and using the Holy Spirit to guide me and bring me closer to him. I also thank Dr. Charles Stanley (whom Im sure a lot of you know)whose books and study guides have been helping me understand a lot of things I was confused involving Christianity.
I feel the Lord has called me to be involved in the ministry, and after praying about this for months, I finally enrolled in Liberty University's online courses and am planning to one day perhaps if its Gods will, to become a minister. I realize that does not happen over night, and I have a lot of knowledge to learn as well as a lot of self discipline to apply to my life.
Anyways, love these forums. Looking forward to some online interacting with other people, as well as learning from others about God. I am very eager to learn as much as I can about God, Christianity, religion itself and the Bible.
God bless and thanks for having me.
