Of course they're not, which is evident by the fact Thomas the Atheist is still here. Even if such events were to occur, well, that's what our moderating team are for.
I once made a thread in which me and some of my (christian) friends could have a very friendly and polite conversation, but without any rules.
we could talk about whatever we wanted and adress anything about eachother's religion / lifestyle. All of those who participated really liked it and checked the thread daily because it kept getting updated that much
suddenly, a user of this site which I shall not name, decided that this had to stop. He didn't even talk to me about this thread once. He just posted one message saying that the thread was blasphemy and that he'd get a mod to close it. I messaged him back saying that I had already spoke to a mod about this thread, and that he agreed with it as long as our "debate" didn't turn into something ugly.
Anyways, what happened was that this one user decided to get all his friends and started reporting all of my posts made there...
the thread got closed, I asked the mod what happened, and he said he'd received so much reports, he had to shut it down.
at the time I couldn't really believe it... just because someone (who didn't even participate in our thread) decided to teach the atheist scumbag I am a lesson, got my thread closed and my account banned...
I'm not really sure, but isn't this like against ALOT of the christian values?
If you dislike it that much, why are you still here in the new members forums perpetuating myths? I mean, surely you have better things to spend your time doing than staying on a forum where everyone seemingly hates you?
Not everybody hates me

and I'm glad about that. Some people have been hating me for as long as I can remember just because I'm an atheist, but on the other hand, I've made lots of friends here

and that's why I'm still here, because of all the friendly people and because of all the people who actually need, care for and are grateful of my advice.
Really, I've helped some people a great lot here, and that matters to me more than all of the close-minded people who prefer not even to consider what I write, but who just press the REPORT symbol as soon as they see i'm an atheist.
