  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi everyone.

As you can see, I'm new to the forum.

I have been using forums for a long time, but a lot of non-Christian ones. I figured it was time if I want to chat about Christian matters, or matters about God etc, I should probably join a Christian forum.

Nice to meet you.

I have eclectic interests. However, not all of them are good for one trying to be on a Christ like path. Such as worldy music and TV shows, manga etc.

I hope I can grow and evolve here into a better humble servant of God, and not let the world distract me so.

I don’t think Christians aren’t allowed to like any worldly things. We are in the world, after all. But we are not of the world, so we should not get attached to worldly things. Maybe you could tell other people about God at a secular music concert! But if you think you should completely give up worldly things, that is an admirable thing to do.
I hope you can grow as a Christian and help other people grow on CF
