How are you all today? I am writing because I have noticed the lack of participation here in the world of RPG and so I am wondering why?

Is it the new board? It is because its summer?

There has been a real dramatic decrease in the amount of activity here... so what can we do to change that?

Start some slower paced rpgs? maybe be more creative in our rpg ideas?

What can we do?


I know I am bored and looking for some RPG fun! But where? and why isnt everyone else posting?

Well, I don't know if you've been here before, but this is the out of character forum. It's for discussing the rpgs. It's not that its slowed down (not that I'm aware of anyway) its just the lack of people, I guess... I know we could use someone in Eragon (If you've ever read the books).

I have been here for like three years and in a lot of rpgs. And in the last three years this is the slowest its been in three years!

I know this is the ooc, but its also for discussions about RPG... which is what I am dong. Discussing why its so slow!!!

Like I said, I think that that is because fewer people are here now. Plus I think that is from the updates to the site. It looks more mature now. People can get lost, because they got too use to the old site. (My offer for Eragon still remains.)

That's ok. We don't follow the books or movie too closely. it's just the continent, and such that we use. None of Paolini's characters, besides the king, will ever be used.

Hi! Well, I'm a newcomer to this forum, and thanks to the admins for implimenting the audio option as an alternate to the visual captcha! Anyway, I'm looking for people to write/rpg with. I have a lot of my stuff up at my site, but want to get going again, my characters are starting to bug me. Hehe. I'm not doing strictly original characters, or strictly fanfics set in what people call "fanfic" universes. It's a mishmash of original characters and the odd famous characters mixed in, and not necessarily in one particular place either. Some fantasy type characters plus everyday humans in the present time, in a modernday setting when they're at home, but if some of them manage to get into other worlds/realms (not universes since there really is only one universe or that's not what it would be called) just about anything could happen. So my lot of characters have ipods, cell phones etc. and some of them also have magic. And my good guys are Christian as well.

Hey Red, Its been along time.
I know what you mean ive been here for over a month trying to get back into RPGs like the old days. And was creeped out by how slow this place has gotten. Ive tried to start my own RPGs atleast 4 times and they dont even get a slight bit of interest.

By the way congrats on the bundle of joy, since i havent talked to you since then.

I think, Red, we should get everyone who is still mostly active together so we know who is here and who isn't. We could also scheme and plot on how to get more people here. And, if all that fails, I suppose I could use my mind control devices. I don't like using them, though; it reflects poorly on my "benevolent" status.

As far as not getting RP's off the ground, I think it's because not a lot of people check in the OOC section anymore. Most of the regulars just check up with the threads they're already in.

Lol Well, between your mind control devices and my characters clammering in my head for me to put them into some action again I'd like to get into an rp. I'm still submitting characters in the database and found out my prob was an error because there were links included in my character profiles that I had to cut out in order to post on the forum. They were just links to the characters speaking.

I'm not sure who to put into where once all the profiles I have are posted, especially since I like to mingle created characters with movie/book characters and not always in the movie/book settings either.
