Hey everyone Just wanted to introduce myself:

My name is Anna, and I live in Richmond, Virginia, though originally I'm from Michigan and lived in Vermont for 5 years before coming here. I work in a bookstore (yay books!) and when I'm not there I'm usually at home, working on some art or sewing project, or keeping up with my animals.

I grew up in a household that was half Catholic, half Seventh-Day Adventist. Unfortunately there was a lot of disagreement and unhappiness between the two - their differences seemed more important to them than what they had in common - and it led me into a lot of confusion about what being a Christian really meant. I gave up on Christian faith for quite a while before I had a change of heart and asked Jesus into my life again.

I've been attending a Baptist church here in Richmond for the last year or so, and am very glad to be walking with my Father again.

I have met some very nice people on CF so far, and look forward to meeting more of you soon!

It is rather a nice change not to deal with snow half the year! I do miss the mild northern summers, though, and having so many lakes and beaches! (As much as I love the ocean, I can't bring myself to swim in it since the summer I accidentally made friends with a jellyfish! )
