• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together.   • Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am now back after 4 weeks in renfrew eating disorder clinic. the time went way to fast i really was not to ready to come home, but they said no one is ever ready, and this is just the begining for a battle. ugh..and at times i can see myself slipping.... but i have all the knowledge that i learned and the Lord by my side. thanks to all who gave me all the support i needed to do this, you truley are sent from the Lord.

It's so great to see you back! I've been reading your blog and I see that you have been through a lot but you have come out on top! You know that, right? You are so wonderful!

Don't picture yourself slipping - picture yourself winning. A lot of this is mentality (as I have recently re-discovered thanks to you :hug:) so keep positive and looking towards the future!

Nobody is ever 'ready' to come home and it's a constant battle but you are winning and that is absolutely fantastic! :hug:

Just remember everytime you overcome that temption of "slipping", you will become stronger in the Lord and you will resist the devil. Congrads on coming home though! I know you feel a bit unprepared still but you know everything happens for a reason. I encourage you to keep on doing what you know is right! You go girl!!

3 replies...... .....sorry for the sarcasim, but i felt i tried so hard that, people would be proud and encouraging, is that not ALSO what this site is for? if we do not give recongition to the people that are trying to recover the best way they can, what does that say to the person that might be thinking about it, well looks like the only time i get support is if i am hurting.....
recovery actually stinks. and yes it hurts, more then ana itself. i think thats why it is so easy to return to ANA...well i will get off my soapbox, and please do not reply not thats not why i posted this, if it is to make 1 person think as they read this for the next person in recovery, to say hey let me go in and say good job, or welcome home, or we are here, or whatever......then this post was worth it......

May you all be Blessed beyond measure, and may Christ keep you all in His loving arms.
