Hellboy

I have never read a single Hellboy comic although I really like Mike Mignola's style very much, so I went into this movie not knowing very much about the hero.

I thought this movie was great. It had what many comic book movies lack...heart. You actually cared for every single member of the Paranormal League, even the 'red shirts'.

It had the right amount of humor, suspense, action, mystery and scares to keep me glued to the screen. I also enjoyed the touch of faith in the film, which I hope is also found in the graphic novels that I am going out to Amazon.com for right directly.

Two thumbs way up.

Haven't seen it yet, I think I'm going to try to now. Ron Perlman is usually pretty funny too.

Go see it Ryder. There's a moment that had a strong Christian message (for me at least). No one spoil it!
