Stepping in here..... Yes they will spend eternity in the lake of fire....
Rev. 20:10The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Can't be any clearer than that.

You asked a question....many have suggested their understanding(s). God wants us to know the truth, were you seeking to know it or were you interested in what you refer to as "argueing". Sadly Bible study is not to "celebrate each others differences in opinion", it is to get at the truth. God sepnt quite a bit of time and effort to get the truth to us, are you suggesting that we should just "celebrate each others differences in opinion " and forget that God intends us to understand the ....truth? You know there are fellowship threads here....I thought this was a discussion thread (?) Were you interested in an answer?

The fear of ones loved ones ending up in the lake of fire is a sobering thought. To be quite honset with you, it bothers me too. I wrote a long letter to my father a number of years ago speking to him of God's free gift of salvation in Jesus Christ, he never gave me any reason to believe that he responded to the call of God. Infact he gave me reason to beieve that he did not respond to it. I have four grandparents whom I have no reseon not to believe that went to a Christless eternity. My mother will not accept the redemption offered in Christ. So what are we to do? I have said it before, there is only one thing worse than being confined in the lake of fire for all eternity, do you know what that is? It is the knowledge that your loved ones who are still yet alive will follow you to the lake! Everyone has their own life, we all make our own descisions which we must live with, you can no more change the decision of your family and friends than I can, we must respond to the gospel message, for the sake of ourselves and those who make descisions based upon our examples. Do we ache for them? Yes, do we plead for them, yes, are we remorseful when they reject Christ, of course yes, but think of the sorrow God himself must endure when He must subject all those of His creatures to punishment as a result of their sin. God indeed is the ultamate victim of our sin

So what about your sin? What are you going to do about it? When it comes time as recorded in Rev 20 that the book of life be opened, will your name be written there? Would you like it to be? What about your sin? Do you think it would be worth knowing what to do to save you from the punishment due your sin?
