  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

hey guys last night I got held up with a knife... the guy was pressing it against my neck and was demanding money off me and two other guys I was with...  He got away with a bike and an old-ish mobile phone, I'm fine.

Anyway I would just like everyone here to pray for this guy, it's so obvious he has a drug problem...  I don't know who he is, and I've never seen him before but I can just tell he needs the money for drugs.

I'm glad you came out of it okay! I know what you went through...I was help up at gunpoint in my fiance's front yard! It was about midnight and I was leaving to go home, he walked me out to my car and some guys jumped out of a car and pulled guns on us. It was scary!

It's very awesome of you to want to pray for the guy who did this to you! I always wonder what happened to those guys that robbed me...I know they were caught, but what happened after that I don't know

meh, it's not like I really lost anything, although I'm disappointed about the phone, because it was a good phone and belonged to my mum, and cos the other guy lost his bike... but yeah, I'm fine, the only thing that I got was a bit of a scratch on the back of my neck where he had the knife and a couple of death threats if I reported him to the cops... which I did ;) hehehehehehe... But still, like seriously I reckon he's in the mafia or something cos of his rather cool Greek-ish accent and the fact that he was so desperate for money
