Well of course my mother isn't happy with this conversion.

Personally I think she's in denial when I'm anything but a Methodist.

She completely denied that I was agnostic when I was agnostic. Every single time...

She doesn't want me to convert using the excuse that "you need to get involved."

Well.. I'm going to get much more involved I suppose. She says to wait a year....

Right... If I wait that long I'll be at college. And she isn't stopping me and college so... yeah...

If I was a Mom, I'd be more grieved to deny you were agnostic than if you were Catholic.

Strange, it didn't come over to me that way at all. *ss* Seemed more like trying to keep a positive attitude about something.
And Dark/Lite... you'll get involved. *G* Catholic church thrives on people who are involved! Congratulations on your path Home. As to your mother being in denial, it's a natural reaction. Once you've been a catholic for a few decades... she'll understand this isn't a passing whim
