"For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries."

Does this verse imply that we can "lose" our salvation? If after receiving Christ, and being cleansed, and later we again fall into a pattern of sin that we already have repented of, that this willful act of sin will and cannot be forgiven?

That is what some will tell you. They claim this verse means that if you ever fall away after leaning the truth, then you can never be saved.

We can lose our salvation, but you can only lose it permanently if you are really close to God like moses and you become a satanist. But if someone strays from God and goes back to sin, they can still come back to God but if they dont they go to hell.
