Hebrew Translation

[Yahweh Nissi]

Hi all.

I was wandering if someone could please tell me the Hebrew for Yahweh Nissi (The translitteration of 'The LORD is my banner' - from Exodus 17:15). If you do not have some easy way of writing Hebrew characters, then just writing 'aleph''beth', etc would be fine - I know what they look like. I know that Hebrew is written right to left, so if you could please write it that way then that would be great - i.e. issiN hewhaY.

This name only occurs in Exodus 17:5

Nissi is derived from Nes, which means banner. Nes is sometimes translated as a pole with an insignia attached. In battle opposing nations would fly their own flag on a pole at each of their respective front lines. This was to give their soldiers a feeling of hope and a focal point.

Isn't the type of banner you are describing the hebrew word dalet gimmel lamed? Also taking into account Isaiah5:26, 11:10-1218:2 etc Nesi could be another name for Moschiah, nu?
