Inspite the diffirences of Doctrines and Beliefs, one common denominator or goal we have as CHRISTIANS is to go where Jesus is, that is to be in His side and see his glory. IN SHORT OUR GOALS IS TO GO TO HEAVEN.

I have heard that this Earth, this ground we stand and live rightnow is our training ground for HEAVEN. Meaning, we are practising ourselves to live in that HEAVEN promise by Jesus. But are we???

Are we excited to go tht place called HEAVEN?

If yes, lets picture out what HEAVEN may look like or what HEAVEN we want to look like. Is it like eden? or is it like New York or VEgas?

Hope to see all in HEAVEN!!!

Well Juneil, I suspect it's in some ways the antithesis of the now 367-part thread, "Hardcore Facts About the Law....not for children."

But, we shall see. Cheers!

kinda off topic but will there be no sins at all in heaven? pls. correct me if i'm wrong, didn't satan get jealous and he was one of the angels?
Yup, we read that before that time Sin has never entered God's holy kingdom. It is when Satan's pride, power, and jelousy of Jesus engulfed him by his own will that sin became manifest in the world.

Satan decided to separate himself from God by refusing to follow the harmony and peace of the heavens and exist within the principles of God's kingdom(which are summarized in short by the ten commandments).

Up until that point in time, angels didn't have a concept of sin. And most importantly, they didn't know the RESULTS of sin. Now, when Sin and Evil is destroyed for good and God's love will reign throughout the universe all the worlds that God created will remember the battle between God and Satan and the Great Controversy that we are a part of right now. We will all remember what the results of sin were, how much death and pain it brought upon those infected by it. And even more importantly, all the angels and God's created beings will remember the love that God himself poured out over our small world to save it from sin by sacrificing his only Son, a member of the Godhead, in order that we may be given eternal life. Through this Great Controversy all will see how God's love was manifest and how destructive sin was. They will love our Lord for what he has done and no one will even as much as think of experiencing somethings like sin.

That's why in a sense we are blessed to be here and be a part of this great battle that is going on. Think about all the worlds that were created by God already, and those that are yet to come. Out of all of them, in a million years we will be able to say "Yes, I was there in the middle of it all." We will be able to recall to others our experience during the time that we are living now, as a living testimony of God's amazing love for his created beings. We will be able to tell them just what sin did, and how relentlessly Satan fought for our souls. That's why Revelation tells us that we will be priests and councillors in God's kingdom, because of the things we went through, our obedience to God and his commandments, and the wisdom which God has given us through this ordeal.

^^ Just somethings for you to think about :)

Now Juneil, can you specify whether you are talking about the 1,000 years in heaven or the kingdom after sin is destroyed?

Yuor making it all difficult. All im concern is are u excited to go to HEAVEN?? Some says U MUST KNOW WHERE U WANT TO GO FOR U TO SUCCEED. So if HEAVEN is our goal, are we serious to it? Lets forget bout all topic, the sin thing, the law thing, 144,000 thiing etc.. I want all of you to ask ur self am i EXCITED TO GO TO HEAVEN? like your excited in going to DISNEY LAND or CASINO.

All i want bro and sis is for us have that WANT if possible NEED and excitement to be in HEAVEN. Thats why i want u to write what u like to BE in heaven. And if u can have that WANT to go to HEAVEN, all of the sin thing, law thing will go on its way.

Well for me, I want to see my Grand pa there. i miss him. i also want to play tennis in heaven and eat ice cream. lol

Yeah, lets try. thats why I bring it here not for debate. My questions are simple, its just a matter of what u want heaven will be. because i believe HEAVEN is not HEAVEN if its boring.

Thanks

I cannot wait for our first Sabbath school in heaven! And I can picture the heavenly choir of angels singing glory to God, ten thousand times ten thousand! Can you imagine a sermon from Elijah? Or a Bible study with Paul? Or a testimony from Jonah, how it was inside the belly of the fish?

Doesn't Mrs White say somewhere that everyday lived in heaven will be better than the last, for all eternity? The more we get to know our Saviour, the more we'll appreciate the price He paid for us to be there, and the more we'll realise that "God is love". I can't wait!! :)

Hehe sorry, I was just replying RnM's question.

But when you say HEAVEN, biblically you are talking about the 1,000 years after Christ's second coming. ("Then I saw a new heaven AND a new earth..." Rev 21:1) I think by saying you heaven you actually mean the New Earth that we will live on after sin is destroyed. :) I'll try to hit on both cause I love thinking and discussing these topics.

So besides having personal time with Jesus, worshipping the Lord for all that he has done for us, finding family and friends, and getting to know all my favorite Bible characters this is what I'm excited for:

1,000 years:

1. First thing I want to do (besides looking through the records of the lost) is track down my lineage. I want to see where my ancestors came from and through whom my lineage came to be. Hopefully it will be some Godly and Biblical character... what if you found out that even though you are saved you descended from Nimrod(through whom Sun worship started) or something? :O Just a neat thing to think about...

2. Walk up to Paul and in a joking-sort of way and ask him 'What did you do Paul!?!'. As in to why he wrote everything the way he did which resulted in 182730182793 people mis-interpreting many of his texts. Of course, we know why but I still want to go up to him and joke around with him haha.

3. I love history so I want to see in detail EXACTLY what happened in all the major events in human history. Might take some time but we have a 1,000 years so no worries :D

New Earth:

1. Fly. I CAN'T WAIT!

2. Explore the universe, all the different Nebulas and Galaxies...

3. Meet people from different worlds that God has created. I wonder how beautiful the girls from other worlds will be... considering they've been untouched by sin... (not saying our ladies aren't beautiful but I'm just curious haha)

4. Build myself the coolest house I can think of... Wouldn't it be neat if we could build a house up in the cluods somewhere?

Since the Bible says there will be no night on the New Earth I wonder if we will actually need to sleep? Since our bodies will be ever-new they will not wear down and get tired which is the reason we need sleep today... Something else to think about.
