About 15 years ago I was sitting in the grass in a field praying and just thinking about the cross when a gigantic crashing voice exploded in my chest saying my name. Strange thing was that before I heard it, everything else went away. All the birds went silent, no wind, nothing. And then boom.
It was beautifully frightening. My Soul was excited but my body was scared to death, almost went face first in the grass. And it stopped and the birds sang again, and the breeze was back. And I went home and my wife said I looked scared to death. And I went to bed and took a nap. Never really knew what to make of it. Was never really into signs. Was that really God's voice? Not sure, but I promised myself if I ever hear that again, I will lay down and ask what he wants, that was really something.
