Health Message vs Health Ministry

No where in the Bible does it say God's people have a health message to bring to the world. The title, Health Message, carries with it the thought, repent or be judged. We don't find these thoughts in the New Testament. What we do find is that the kingdom of God is not in food or drink. We find teachings that say, physical exercise profits little.

Good health is a blessing and a joy and is part of the abundant life but good health, as part of religion, can be a hard task master.

Good health can be based on what we eat and drink but not always. There are those who are health conscious who drink and eat accordingly yet they struggle with health issues. Then there of those who eat and drink whatever they want and are in excellent health.

Having a health message, I believe, is bathed in works and is taking it one step further than what the Bible commands. But, having a health ministry, is based on love and not works, this is pleasing to God.

The focus of a health ministry is on those who have health issues. In the same way, the law is for the lawless.

Remember, food for the stomach and the stomach for food but God will destroy both in the end.

I've seen both sides of the health message. I've seen it played up to a point where you can be condemned to hell if you eat pork while knowing it was bad for you.

The thoughts and feelings that come with a health message are, requirement, maintenance, burden and works. The thoughts and feelings that come from a health ministry are, optional, reap what you sow from your choices (not from God condemning you) and liberty.

33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,

We are not holier and wiser than these people. Compassion to our enemies is not something we can engineer into a business.
