  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Please do not post if you don't believe G_d heals today. New forum perhaps

Sometimes The Lord says no (Paul), all the usual posts that are yeah but

G_d does the healing, sometimes we're His tools. So now let's cover some topics. On a program recently their main idea was the importance of commanding our bodies. A Bibilical example is when Peter told the man to rise up and walk. Acts 3:6 .What are your thoughts on this? Wondering how do you pray for the sick?

Sometimes there's a problem of receiving. Yet this Scripture says receive because of your faith. "Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee," Luk 18:42

I believe Christ can heal. I'm now reading, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by Mary Baker Eddy.

It's all about Christian healing. I'm suffering a lot at age 84 and could use some healing. I used to rely on "Oral Roberts" but he has gone Home to the Lord now.

I wonder if anyone has techniques to achieve this.

I'm also reading "You Are the Placebo" by Dr. Joe Dispenza about the mind being able to heal.

I believe Christ in our Mind can work miracles. Anyone else have comments on this?

In the Bible, I believe that people are led by the spirit to speak/command before they speak in the Lord's name. They get results because they are doing what God has shown them to do.

Many people act as if they can lead the Holy Spirit into action. That can end up with "Name it and claim it" teaching.

Asking God in hopes of moving him to action is fine, but we have to avoid the presumption that God must do as we say.

Blessings in Christ Jesus! I understand why Paul was afflicted, for I had to go through something similar for a set period of time. And yes His grace is sufficient for us. For healing, just do and believe and it will come to pass. He is right there with us just as promised. And when you pray in The Spirit, who kneals down with you and makes intersession with you as One. How can two walk together unless they first agree. Let us agree and start taking back what the locust has devoured. Just believe, and watch and see what The Glory of The Lord can do through those who love Him!

Continue to believe. Oh, this brings up another topic. Once prayer is made, some begin to thank G_d while others continue to pray for healing. ??

Once we come up to overcoming faith on something, to continue to ask for it would be in unbelief, wouldn't it? That's what Wigglesworth taught. I can find myself all over the map when praying for something at first, but as I continue, over time the prayer turns more toward thanksgiving than supplication.

The best treatise I've found on healing is A. B. Simpson's The Gospel of Healing. He goes into a lot of questions and issues, and is very persuasive. It's free on the web, and I've uploaded a copy of it here, with better formatting.

I am by far no expert. I find its far easier to pray for others then for myself. Acts 3.. wow thats a verse to this very day that JUMPS out at me still. Just cant get past it. Our relationship with Christ has to be solid. Everything must be Him..so that theres nothing between Him and us. What I notice in Acts 3 is "what I have give I unto you". What did they have that we don't? Not once did they have ask God, Jesus to do anything. "Oh Father if its your will, Jesus heal this man today".. nothing like that at all.

After they tell us.. "why look at us as if we did this under our own power. Its FAITH in that NAME". We need to know that we know that we know God, Christ can not lie. In my studying I have never seen what happen to Paul as a any kind of sickness. For me..if it was and God said no.. that alone goes against His word. These signs SHALL follow.. behold I give you power... on and on.

It for me comes down to trust/faith. He said.. He answers you before you finish praying. He said..if you know He hears you then you know you have the petitions/prayers you asked for. He said what ever you ask the Father in my name He will do it. He said what ever you desire when you pray believe you receive you SHALL have it. We talk about "it can take time" a truth... but try to remember there is NO TIME where the Father is. So.. no matter what you hear see feel.. no matter how dark it gets.. you NEVER EVER move.. you stand on HIS word. Whats His will? HIS WORD!
