• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I just wanted to say that faith is about believing before seeing. You have to believe that healing has been done before you "see" it done. The world teaches the opposite-seeing is believing. This is meant to encourage each person in his or her walk with the Lord.

1st Peter 2:24
Isaish 53:5
3rd John verse 2
Hebrews 11:1
Mark 6:56
Mark 5:34
Luke 6:18

1st Peter 2:24. This is speaking of Christ bearing the price of sin on his body. This is about Christ paying the price for sin
Isaiah 53:5 This is speaking of Christ coming to bear the price of sin and paying the price. It is speaking of Gods promise of a saviour.
3rd John verse 2 Is addressed to a rich lady and John is saying that he hopes that she will live in grace and that in doing so she will retain health. Rich and living wisely were not often found hand in hand in the roman empire.
Hebrews 11:1 This speaks of faith.
Mark 6:56 The people here were only concerned about being made whole; not about learning from Christ look how this verse is placed.
Mark 5:34 This is a relevant illustration to the point I think you are trying to make. It concerns a woman's faith in Christ's ability to heal.
Luke 6:18 You missed out the presiding verse 17 which places 18 into context in this chapter.

I think more accurately is that you believe it's Gods will that the healing shall take place. Prayer is an enabler for Gods will through yourself, and so believeing that healing has taken place before you see it without basis of God's will doesn't go anywhere.

And so the journey beings.....

Regarding the verses, I will put some others out there.

Acts 28:7-9
Acts 14:8-10
Acts 9:40-42
Acts 4:9-10
Acts 5:16
Acts 3:1-8
Philippians 2:25-28
James 5:14-16***Please definately look this one up
Hebrews 11:11-sort of related-issue of can't becoming a can
Matthew 9:2-7
John 9:1-41
Matthew 20-29-34
Matthew 8:14-15
Matthew 9:20-22
Matthew 12:10-13
Mark 8:22-26
Matthew 15:21-28
Luke 13:10-17
Luke 17:11-19
Luke 22:50-51
John 4:46-54

These are just some examples of healing. God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Healing seems to be God's will.
I am doing a study in the NT. The only questionnable verses so far
are

Galatians 4:13-14
2 Corinthians 12:7-10-but doesn't say what it is. A lot of pastors assume it is a disease or illness of some sort.
1st Timothy 5:23-still a solution to the illnesses
