Peace in Christ.
We…who believe in the truth of the gospel of Christ…shall be His many “infallible proofs” (signs, manifest tokens) to this world that Jesus is indeed alive as we are alive (and not mortally dying). Jesus died on the cross and is risen to life. He died in our place so that we do not have to mortally die. He is risen is alive now so that we may have His life now in this mortal body.
We shall have an age-lasting life in this mortal body….and we are to preach to all of the world the gospel of the kingdom/government of God. The world shall see us living (as He is alive)....and not mortally dying. This is a powerful statement to the world about the good news of Christ. The 40 days is a reference to Jonah preaching to Nineveh.
Act 1:3 KJV
(3) To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:
Because we believe in the gospel of Christ, we shall endure unto the end of this age without mortally perishing (dying)….and this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all of the world for a witness unto all nations.
The world shall see us continuing to mortally live with an age-lasting life….and those who will see and believe will praise God.
Mat 24:13-14 KJV
(13) But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
(14) And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Death shall "vomit" us out onto the earth...instead of the earth spuing us out by mortally dying. We shall not die but shall continue to live an age-lasting life and inherit this earth. "Land" = earth.
Lev 20:22-24 KJV
(22) Ye shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: that the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein, spue you not out.
(23) And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.
(24) But I have said unto you, Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk and honey: I am the LORD your God, which have separated you from other people.
What are we to teach all nations?
The “great commission”: That all power is given unto Jesus in heaven and in earth.
This is His government. All nations are to observe all things that He commands us. He is with us always….even unto the end of the age…. “then the end shall come”. The kingdom of God shall come upon all of this earth.
Mat 28:18-20
(18) And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
(19) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
(20) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the AGE. Amen.
The good news of the kingdom of God: The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
Rev 11:15 KJV
(15) And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
The gospel of the kingdom of God:
Dan 2:44 KJV
(44) And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
Psa 2:6-9 KJV
(6) Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
(7) I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
(8) Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
(9) Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
