Hello people of god,
I am a 34y/o father of one and a step father of four. I have an incredible fiance, she is actually the woman I fell in love with because I saw in here the qualities I have always wanted in a woman. I just am looking to find a way, to help her understand that her daughter, my step, has a personal vendetta against me for just loving her mother. She has no problem accepting the help and money and cell phones she gets from me, however when ever her mother and I have an argument she will start to intentionally insert herself in the conversation when it is absolutely not appropriate for her to be talking while we are discussing the topic, whatever it may be. My fiance is way to lax with her and when she does try to punish her, she withdraws the punishment in fear of her daughter wanting to spend more time with her dad. She is basically afraid of losing touch with her daughter. My step daughter will go out of her way to act dangerously with the baby while her mother inst around. My family and my friends have made comments that they fear for my daughter because of the way my strep daughter behaves with the baby. I don't blame my fiance what so ever, she is only trying to raise her kids the best she knows how. And she has been doing it on her own for 9 years with a significant amount of co-parenting from the boys father, but her daughter's father is a dead beat, he has to be pushed to spend time with his daughter. I cant take the disrespect any longer. Oh and by the way the step daughter is only 12 but she believes she is 19!!! How do I convince her mother that she needs to take a harder line with her daughter or we will have a much bigger issue in the years to come. I love my fiance with all my heart and I love the kids too. However I have reached a breaking point!!! Please advise.
