Jesus is almighty . . . not weak!!! In His love we have almighty power, including to keep us safe from unkind things >
"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:31-32)
"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment." (in 1 John 4:18)
So, as we develop in the personality of Jesus, we grow in His almighty immunity against cruel feelings and dominating and driving emotions and anti-love thinking. A lot of personality trouble is because of not being strong in Jesus. While ones are weak for pleasures and selfish loving, ones can keep having deep emotional trouble > weakness for selfish and foolish pleasures is also weakness for suffering pain.
And there is how unforgiveness can deeply degrade us and keep us weak so we can keep suffering various sorts of "torment" of fear and worry.
"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might." (Ephesians 6:10)
And so, while your acquaintance is about control and using people and pleasures and looking down on others . . . the weakness of this can not go away and will keep the person able to keep suffering in her personality. So, no amount of "healing" reform can cure this. She might do some tricks to make herself feel better, but her character will still be there, self-seeking and worldly . . . and weak.
And with God you can help her with prayer and your good example.
And we are being kind to people, by not arguing with them. Arguing can hurt us; so by not arguing with someone, you are being kind to the person
