We have had this back and forth movement before. It doesn't surprise me.

This is exactly why the agreement was signed in Balamand to prevent this change in allegiance.

However, both the Orthodox and the Catholic churches have schismatic Churches to which the marginalized Christians will flee. The SSPX is also converting thousands of Orthodox Christians and Vatican II Catholics in Russia to the dismay of both Rome and Russia.

P.S. The SSPX sent me their literature hoping that I would join them. So, there's my reference. Go to their website and you will find that what I have printed is true.

That's the first icon I ever got. I believe it's called Theotokos of Tender Mercy. I love the way Christ's hand is reaching around His mother's neck, as it is in so many icons. He loves His mommy.

My son used to do that when I was carrying him in my arms. Brings back warm memories.

No they are different.

Mine is the directress (a form of it) as our Lady the Theotokos is pointing to her Son, Jesus for us to follow.

Yours is different, and lighter. I prefer it. It's a great icon. Please keep using it.
It shows the Christ Child embracing the Theotokos tenderly.

That 'bishop' is, of course, not from the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church but from 'Kiev Patriarchate', whose 'patriarch', Philaret Denisenko was excommunicated from the Orthodox Church.

One can't use enough quotation marks for such folks.
