Hmm... my wife has asked me so many times to go and watch a play or something. Lion King sounds like it might be a good one. That however, rose the question of whether or not we know anybody that has been to one. In that case, the question remains:

Have you ever been to a musical or a play?

God bless!

I have been going to plays and musicals for pretty much all of my life. I love the theatre, especially to be a part of it. I saw Lion King in Toronto and it is utterly amazing! It's incredible to see all of the special effects and the costuming. The lighting is shocking... it's just an all around wonderful show.

My wife and I go to live theater regularly. This is real acting. On taped TV shows, and in film, the actors can do it over and over again until it's right. But on the stage, you only have one chance, and everybody is watching. It gives you a true appreciation for the performing arts. We haven't seen "Lion King", but were in NYC last October and saw "Hairspray" on Broadway. A really fun show, and highly recommended.

I'd love to see Lion King on stage... so far, I've seen:
Phantom of the Opera
Cats
Blood Brothers
Fame
Grease
Whistle Down the Wind
Oliver! (A)
Sound of Music (A)
Honk! (A)
Jospeh and his amazing...
Dazzle (A)
Slice of Saturday Night (A)
Chess (A)

I think that's it musicals wise- I've only seen one show in the West End (P of t O), everything else has been in Bradford. (A) means amateur group

 :D I went to see Blood Brothers again today! AND WOOOOOOWWWEEEE! That is one amazing show! I cried my eyes out again too! It was kinda cool too, cos I played Mrs Lyons in something earlier this year, so I could compare our interpretations of her. Production was stunning, though I was somewhat jelous of one thing... :| (green jealous man)... THE SHOES! There were so many pairs of shoes! Different ones all the time!

Anyone else seen it? What did you think?
