Just wanting advice, really, because I don't want to lose his friendship, either. I don't know, but I think that kind of thing causes me doubt...

I think we are all faced with this sort of struggle sometime in our Christian Journey... It's a fork in the road, and you have to make the choice which way you want to go... The Bible talks about going to the right or to the left, and not staying on the straight and narrow path.... Read what happened to Solomon when he chose to marry heathen women... read what happened to a whole tribe of Israelis who did the same thing.... God is serious about not becoming unevenly yoked. It almost killed Lot, and did kill his wife... You can't have one foot in Heaven and one in Hell. I pray that you give all this to God, and let Him make your way... He will bring the right person into your life that will Bless you just like Boaz blessed Ruth and Abraham blessed Sarah... An unGodly man can't bless a Godly Woman. Perhaps this man was put into your life for you to introduce to Jesus,not necessarily as a mate. I mean, that is our first commandment, you know, to point the way to Salvation.

You shouldn't force your beliefs on someone because they're different than yours...if you really cared you would see past such trivial things..

My mom wouldn't marry my former stepdad unless he became a Christian so he "got saved" and after they got married he said blasphemous things about God and verbally abused my mother and I. Moral of the story: don't date someone with the intention of convincing them to become a Christian.

And also, we're teenagers.. Your more than likely not going to be alone forever. It would be different if you were like 50 but you still have lots of time. Wait for the right person, and God will answer.

I was an Atheist while I dated my (now) ex girlfriend. (We're still good friends). She expressed concern but wanna know something crazy? It was our first relationship and lasted two years, and she expressed concern like you did. The best thing is to have questions and talk. She asked me about my beliefs and I did with hers, and we both agreed that I would support her and go to church, even if I knew nothing about me would change. Notice the key words - SUPPORT. You can have a loving relationship with two different people - as long as you support and accept. That's the beauty about love.

Find a Christian...what about future children? There could be conflicts! If you can't find a Christian , then try to bring him to Christ as pinpilinpauxa said.
