1) I've done it so many times now, and it never gets me or the other person anywhere; no one ever changes their mind and it becomes an insulting issue where I either give in and join in the insults, or I just take them and eventually leave.

I'd just like to point out that this thread is essentially a collection of statements from people who have changed their mind. Aren't you curious how we did it without turning ChristianForums into an insult-fest?

Not to try an dissuade you from participating with those here that are genuinely interested in hearing what you have to say, as you've already alluded to, there are also a fair number of people who post here that will think of you as ignorant and try to do everything to make you look stupid or foolish. Those who you are now in conversation with won't attempt that ploy. Now if you can filter out those negative responses, that inevitably will turn up, and stay focused on the ones that edify then success can be had.

BTW, I'd be interested to hear what you have to say.

I have started my OT theology and whether it has changed or not.

Perhaps now I understand why many unbelievers complain that they are pestered by Christians, because it seems that any statement of 'not convinced' when dealing with Evolution is almost always met with a barrage of very strong demands that I convert, or debate the issue right then and there.

I could tell you that I don't accept how any Christian can believe in Evolution in light of the Scriptures, and that any Christian who knows the Scriptures would believe in Creationism, but that would be pompous of me. It would assume that others have failed to pursue the Scriptures, something I don't know. Maybe I'll disagree, and maybe I won't even understand how one can agree with such a conclusion, but I won't tell people that they haven't really read the Scriptures because they disagree with me.

I will, however, say that I think they are wrong and that I think I am right. Why else would I believe what I do?
