That is so true. Stuff at health food stores is really expensive. You are probably on to something, not eating so much of the processed fake meat. It really isnt all that great for ya!! We should stick with the natural stuff, grains, fruits, veggies, nuts, etc. But hey the occasional "fake" indulgence wont hurt us! haha

I've been gone forever! I had to change my CF character to show my aspirations of becoming a nurse.

I still haven't tried Quorn. I'm really into cooking lately and I really enjoy making my own "fake" meat.

Do you have any good recipes for fake meat? I make my own gluten but am always on the lookout for more recipes.

I got a really good recipe from a woman at church. She prepared her gluten in the regular way, but used faux chicken seasoning instead of the beef.

She stir fried it with some bell peppers and onions and served it over rice with some homemade sweet and sour sauce. It was....delicious!

I gotta say, I'm not the best gluten cook. Sometimes I make it and it's absolutely mouth-watering. Other times? Not so much!

I'll get the hang of it though. No one can beat my mother-in-law's gluten steaks. I won't even pretend to aspire to her level of gluten genius!
