Has Anyone Seen My Aunt Flow?

I am 30 y/o
I have a 15 y/o daughter and a 8 month old son
Before I had my son my husband and I wanted a big family. we wanted to have them close in age (maybe 1 1/2 years apart). Since I had my son I've been BF, I just started the weaning process by giving him solids 2-3 times a day (1 month ago). The problem is I still haven't gotten my period yet. My hopes are to tandom nurse. I don't want to stop BF altogether to conceive. For the first time in my life I'm anxiously awaiting the return of "Aunt Flow" LOL

Wow, so when you say "big family" how big do ya mean?

I'm not sure how all the BF and TTC thing works together, sorry I can't be of use but welcome to the TTC forum!

It took 22 months for my AF to return after having my baby. Obviously by then my daughter was eating three square meals a day, but I was still breastfeeding twice a day. I was also anxious to start TTC again! But it worked out well. I got pregnant four months after I got AF back and now I am glad that there will be nearly three years between babies. My first will be out of diapers and no longer nursing by the time the second comes along. I don't think there's any way to jumpstart AF other than stopping BFing altogether, and it doesn't sound like you're willing to do that. (I wasn't either.) Anyway, I hope she shows up soon!

We have 2 now (15 y/o from a previous relationship), we are thinking of having 3 more. I've already told my husband that my stopping point is at 35 y/o (I'm 30 now).
I did read that with some women AF won't come for at least 2 years. My friend said she BF more at night to keep AF from coming but AF came 3 months from when the baby was born. We are just hoping AF comes soon. So this might sound funny but I'm praying AF comes soon.
I am alittle nerves about getting pregnant again because when my son was conceived I was originally carrying twins then at about 13 weeks one disappeared. I didn't find out until the next US at 23 wks. 3 years before that I had a miscarriage. I'm scared to loose another baby. I know I will see them in heaven some day, I can't wait.

Rakkoon, it doesn't sound silly to me. I also prayed for AF to return! I am so sorry to hear about your losses. I can't imagine how painful that must have been for you. I pray you will have a healthy pregnancy next time.
