  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I swear to God. I swear on my Bible and my mothers grave that I've actually seen the risen Christ! I always wanted to know what happened to Paul on the road to Damascus and let's just say God showed me. This happened back in July or August. God later had me deliver a message to a priest at my local Catholic Church: "Taking the children was a bad move."

Has anyone else had contact from God?

why don't you share your experience?
Well, it comes down to the fact that I've always wanted to know what exactly Paul experienced on the road to Damascus. Anyways, I was out walking my dog like I do every day in my subdivision. One moment I'm walking the dog, the next moment I'm passed out right there in the street. And while I was "out", I saw a bright light and Jesus was sort of "hovering" in the sky with his arms out streched at his sides. I think it was to symbolize the cross. He just appeared to me. He didn't say anything to me. Then the paramedics "revived" me and the first word I said was "Jesus." Then I was bombarded with a bunch of questions by the paramedics like, "Do you know who you are?", "Do you know where you are?", and "Do you use drugs?", etc. I have no idea how long I was out. The "vision" wasn't very long. Maybe 10 seconds.

God has contacted me a few times since then but I'm not really comfortable posting what he wanted me to do because it would offend someone depending on the Chuch they go to. One of the things God wanted me to do was deliver a message to someone at a particular Church just down the street from where I live. I thought I was going crazy but it was what God wanted me to do, so I did it. What am I going to do? Tell God "no!" LOL!!

I didn't fully understand the message and still don't. Whether it was directed at that person or at the Church, I don't know. The message was "Taking the children was a bad move." The person I delivered the message to obviously knew what it meant because they about pooped their pants when I said what the message was. Their face turned white and they took the piece of paper I wrote the message down on and quickly walked away down the hall visibly disturbed. I wrote the message on a piece of paper because I wanted to make sure I didn't misquote God! Plus, sometimes my mind will go blank so I wanted to be sure I got it right!

that's it.. you claim to have seen the risen Christ and all you have is a couple of lines of text..
get real.. i mean if you really saw Him, you would be beside yourself.. your writings would be so awesome.. but, nope.. you fizzled out before it even got started..
and whats with swearing on your bible.. maybe you should actually read it and find out what it says about swearing by anything.. that sort of thing only comes from the evil one..
and you cannot even remember the month..
you can fool some people.. but, in this particular case.. you are really only fooling yourself..

we use the cross to symbolize Christ's sacrifice on it.. why would the Lord Jesus want to signify a cross.. really.. why would He share His glory with a piece of wood? by paying homage to it.. honestly..
and God has contacted you with messages that you feel would offend some denominations.. so you keep them to yourself.. so basically God has revealed some truths to you. but, you don't want to offend anyone with these truths.. you would rather save face, even at the expense that these people are wrong in there belief.. so you would see them lost.. how illogical is that?
come on friend.. if you are looking for attention.. you definately have it.. but, not in a way that you hope for..
if you seen anything, it was certainly not Christ..
and if God gave you a message, the coviction to deliver that message would be so overwhelming, that you would deliver it at all costs..

Actually it was September of 2011. I was in complete shock. At first I didn't tell anyone because I was afraid people would think I'm crazy or wouldn't believe me. God also has delivered another message to me. He asked me if I would look after a friend of mine and of course I said yes. Since then my friend has lost his grandmother and another friend of his was murdered over pot. As to why I swore on my Bible? Simple, its my most precious thing.

I will expect an apology from you for being a jerk off towards me. Otherwise I'm going to report your rude posts to the moderator.

Well thanks for telling us about it.
I've never actually seen Jesus but I have had experiences where I knew He was standing behind me with his hand on my shoulder after I called out to him in distress. Fear left me immediately and I felt complete peace. I have felt the Holy Spirit and I visually witnessed Him manifested as droplets of oil over someone's head. Another time, I was awakened in the night from a sound sleep with the sound of a dove's wings hitting the ceiling of my bedroom when my father was taken to the hospital for a heart attack. There have been other times too.
I have told only my husband and my brother and over the years a few others in Bible study.

Don't be discouraged by the reactions on here, St Paul.

I think these experiences or ones similar to them are not that uncommon.

doesn't God command us not to swear by anything.. much less on Him.. ya, it is in the bible..
friend you are trying to convince us that Christ appeared to you. in order that you might go to a priest and deliver a message that Christ Himself could have delivered saving including you the middle man.. ya .. like we are that stupid..
one thing i can say about you catholics.. it seems that your religion is the only one that is filled with exciting apparitions..
if i wasn't a saved christian, and if i didn't have netflix to keep myself entertained.. i would join the catholics.. i mean you lot are really a blast..
you keep me in stitches.. lol..lol..
anyhow blessings friend..

I am not a Catholic or Christian. But I have seen a phenomenon. God wants us to have faith, love and forgive. What we chose to speak of May be the truth if you are willing to understand what is said. No one can make you believe these events that people speak of, but something told them to write what they saw. God sends messages in many forms. This I am writing may not be for you but for someone else as a message to them.
