Has anyone been monitoring Sims 2 lately...

I thought the first sims was very original game and I would look forward to another version. BUT, have you guys seen the trailer and the developers stuff? How can I say this, its very getting very unfriendly for Christian or anyones eyes to see. Thats getting sad but oh well, I guess it could always be worse. But I was just wondering what you guys thought...

Well, Sims type game have been around in Japan for a long long time. But I guess The Sims was the first Sims type game to catch on in the West.

Ok, yeah, the trailer was a bit provocative. But I'm pretty sure that doesn't happen in the actual gameplay, does it?

I've seen the trailer, and I was a bit uncomfortable with that scene. But the best thing about The Sims is, you can play around it. If that is actually in the game, you don't HAVE to do it.

I was also very uncomfortable with one screen shot of two women kissing each other. But still, you can play around it.

I can't wait for Sims 2 to release. I'm a huge fan of the first one. And the first one did have it's problems too. (mostly Livin' Large. And more recently which I will not purchase, Makin' Magic. )

Yea, kinda odd to see that in a trailer for a game. But hey what do you expect in this day and age? lol i sound old. Anyway, i wont be buying the game

Cant view the trailer as it's quick time and I try and make a point of not using that player as Media Player is good enough these days and I see no point in stuffing my system by having to install 3 or more players. (Monopolies work for the consumer in some cases Long live Bill Gates )

They recently took away some woman's profile who was offering online sim-child prostitution in exchange for simoleans. I've also heard about the russian mafia strongarming people for simoleans through sims characters. I'm not kidding. I can find references to both incedents if you really want them.

I was wondering what trailer are you talking about, i went to gamespot and watched all of them there and didn't see much anything, but there was the girl on girl kiss in the bedroom at screens, was that it?

but has anyone played bustin out? doesn't look to different from that to me.

I find it very offensive! ! I struggle enough with that stuff, I don't need that junk in a game were a game is supposed to be a peaceful escape for me...

but games are just the same as movies or TV its entertainment, mabey i dont find it so offensive because i dont like those games, but you kinda have to excpect stuff like that in videogames, and its not like its the first game with brushed nudity.

Oh the sims isn't so bad. Relax... Making magic was just an addition to add an element of fantasy to the series. Magick" the heck is that anyway, its just a bunch of superstition and possibly prayers to non exhistent Gods. Many things back in the day were mistaken for magic, Ancient alchemy, early medicines, even early science. People mistake them as being ungodly powers with unknown sources....hence, magic.

btw, we worry so much about our entertainment being sexually oriented. Thats because we've made sex so taboo. Other countries in europe, dominately christian, "maybe not your idea" have very sexual societies. They just assume adultery is only real if you are allready maried, thats kinda like how I am. Don't give me a biblical argument, im not here for that.

I'm really looking forward to the game, but I am a bit concerned about how the intensified level of sexuality will turn out. For example, you literally have to make your characters have sex to have babies, instead of just kissing like in Sims 1. However, one cool thing I just found out is that Maxis has decided that teenagers will not be able to have sex; this was a change from earlier plans.

On a softer note, there will be some very cute additions, such as the "family kiss" where everyone gets in on the love.
