"You’re not, unfortunately. We have some predetermined questions, and hopefully, I’ll be able to ask some of the questions that might be in your head. I hope so," Shriver told the audience.

Color me shocked.

What's more important is who will be there.

Will it be a bunch of pre-selected supporters (as Trump's town hall in the Carolinas was a week or two ago?) Or will it be a true cross section of America?

I wouldn't mind pre-selected questions from either candidate because I want to know answers to the real issues and nonsense about her being the border czar, etc.

Oh really? So you're in favor of Trump not being asked about Jan 6 merely because he might not want to talk about. Don't think so. Now when it comes to Harris IF THAT'S THE PASSION people have and they consider it a very serious issue so you're in favor that she get to pick and choose? Again I don't think you'd extend that right to the other candidate.

Trump speaks extemporaneously on whatever comes into his head no matter what he is asked.
You don't expect an honest, relevant answer.

Expect "predetermined answers" as well. "Let me be clear, I was raised in a middle-class family" has been worn out, but maybe she'll can some new answers for the audience this time, especially if the predetermined questions are given to her in advance. No doubt, if "predetermined" means questions generated by her campaign so she'll know exactly how to respond.

This shouldn't surprise anyone. She struggles to give clear, straight forward answers whenever she gets questions she hasn't prepared for and usually goes into word salad mode.

Her answers were a little too lengthy, but inspired 100 times more confidence in me than the megalomaniacal insult-laden threats of her opponent.
No way!!!

Word salads should only inspire people to become better informed than to listen to her.

And if they become better informed they will learn that she is the only major candidate in full possession of her faculties, hardworking, dedicated, and experienced.

There is only one fit for office.

Van Jones had a nice quote today (I think it was)

"Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are not taking the same exams. He gets to be lawless. She has to be flawless.
Whether she articulates them perfectly every time she has actual policies she is fighting for. He is out there talking about Penises. The double standard is glaring"

I'm confident this is not the first time a presidential candidate had some questions preselected (I noticed you totally ignored the word "some" when you quoted someone directly).
But what the heck? It's just a word right? Who cares?

They ARE becoming better informed. That's why her poll numbers keep dropping the more she speaks.

There is only one fit for office.
And that's why Trump will win, just as he did in 2016.

I bet he will not win the popular election. But I could see him still becoming president though not necessarily through the electoral college.

She may be in full possession of her faculties, but she incompetent in so many levels.

How ominous! But after a few states pushed back on gerrymandering, Democrats are exoected to take the House easily. So if the House decides, Trump loses.

So are you suggesting violence?

Remember all the crimes he committed in 2020 were performed as president.

If he repeats those crimes as a private citizen it will lead to the Big House...

Wouldn’t the current house be the one deciding?

If not by popular vote or electoral college, then how? Would Joe just hand the White House keys to Trump if Trump lost the election?

I would imagine through unscrupulous means...maybe something with fake electors; maybe one of his other wacky tricks.

He tried it once. I'm sure he'll try it again.

There have been, I'm guessing a dozen threads in the last year about ways that MAGAs seem to be trying to gain undue influence in these elections. I expect that something like that would happen again.
