I always forget about the sticky myself, so I was glad to see the thread Tink!
I have to be creative on Sabbath with my 4-year-old, and figure out ways to teach him about God that are appealing to him.
Today I'm going to soak him down with the water hose and talk to him about Joseph and the drought.
Hopefully he'll have fun, learn about God, and get tired enough to take a long Sabbath nap with his old mom!

My son and I had fun today, but we saw a snake and that had us both a little too freaked out to play with the water very long.
Then we saw a baby snake, and that sealed it. We've spent most of Sabbath inside since then!

Interesting approach, but you need to show younen's the importance of the Sabbath somehow. It's good to see some creative ideas. I bought this cool book from the Adventist Book Centre, called 52 things to do on Sabbath, check it out.
Seeing a snake reminds me of a time about a year ago, that on Sabbath afternoon, we went for a hike at a massive park. I was navigating, and took us way off track and we saw a massive snake sitting right on our path, blocking the way, so we turned around and went back. He wasn't moving anywhere to let us past. I think he was either a brown or tiger snake!!!!
