Hello everyone! Happy Preparation Day (Friday) or, for those that are on the other side of the globe, Happy Sabbath!

What church are you planing to attend (or already attended) for Sabbath? I plan to attend Apison SDA Church in Apison, Tennessee.

I am going to a small mountain church in Jasper Georgia near the Appalachian trail (about 35 minutes from it). I used to go to the Madison campus church outside of Nashville. I also went to the Chattanooga First Church - around the time I got married and we had two children.

Got married in the Cleveland Tenn church.

That's a good area, chock full of deep Adventist roots. Originally from Chattanooga. Now on the backside of Dayton Mtn in bloody Blessed Co. There are about 7 SDA churches within about 10 or 12 miles of here. Welcome

Home church with brethren on Skype... sadly a combination of my wife's health and the SDA churches around here barely teaching milk plus much worse. We would not be where God has lead us if we had remained there when we first came to the Adventist truth 10 years ago.

Well, I don't know. How's that? Lol. It's out in the sticks and they are small churches for one. I hear tales of dissention and splits on a couple, but I dont know it for fact. There is also an Adventist nursing home and a rock quarry (big pretty stone and flagstone, not gravel) that helps support the nursing home. A private school and lots of farmland owned by the same few, which all goes to run the home. I'm not sure, but I think they are 100% self supported. My ex-fiance works there and she's a nurse. She's always worked in nursing homes and loves here old people. I know she makes a LOT less there w/o insurance, but the way they care for the people hooked her for life. All the corporate places she worked were just slots and numbers and chiefs and Indians. There, at mealtime, EVERYONE including the gardener stops to help feed so everyone gets to eat at once. I've been with her at regular places and the 2or 3 CNAs have to do it and some of those old people cry and cry watching the others eat since they don't understand. It's pitiful to see. Anyway, I just lucked into a blessed community. I came about a year after God led me to pick up the book, unknowingly about the SDAs and never left. They're either SDA or meth heads around here. And some seasonal field workers.

I grew up in Buchanan MI, about 10 miles south of Berrien Springs, where Andrews University and Pioneer Memorial church are located. ( I have attended services at PM on occasion)

In Berrien Springs, there are about a dozen SDA congregations. They are mostly divided by language. My aunt attends one that is all Korean.

The point is I can see having a number of separate congregations where there is a language difference; but having that many in a small area where there are no language barriers seems a hindrance to proper fellowship.

In our Messianic assemblies, it is not unusual for people to come from multiple states to a congregation. One Union congregation near us pulls congregants from Pennsylvania, Virginia, the District, and West Virginia along with the locals from Columbia MD.
