To my American friends: Happy independence day on the 4th saints. That day I'll be an American with all of you.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thank you. We'll have a large family gathering on a small farm. The plan is lots of good food and some fireworks for the kids.

My brothers MWood and Tom: I remember those buffalo wild wings and KFC finger lickin' good chicken bro! Have an extra helping on my behalf. This also reminds me of my mentor Adrian Hickmon from Arkansas.
I also remember the BBQ's in Blacksburg, VA with my Slusser's Chappel friends on 4th of July and the fireworks at Cassell Coliseum at Virginia Tech.

Where ever you are, I'll be thinking about you when I take the meat from the rib bone. And lick the BBQ sauce from my fingers. Now Bubba, that's livin'. Cold Iced Tea, Tinder BBQ, Garlic bread, Mashed potatoes, BBQ beans, Crisp Salad, Lawn chair, Lake Side, Cool Breeze. Now Bubba, that's livin'. Laid back, very laid back.

Amen brother! God willing I hope to retire in America (I'm currently back in India. My folks are in their 70's). Maybe we'll be able to meet up for a good ole' bbq! That's finger lickin' good livin!
