  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Is it Hannukah already? Well, to Bourbon, Talmidah, Shy, Ssv, and anyone I've forgotten: happy Hannukah.

By the way Rahma, haven't you heard? It's actually absorbed three holidays now, to become Christmahannukwanzaka. Now the American child gets two times the presents plus seven (the "plus seven" is because Jews give their kids one present a day for the whole week, so I think this is mathematically accurate)!

"Merry Chrismukkah"

I appreciate that you're encompassing religions outside your own--but let me ask you this:
Why would you use that greeting? Because Jews can't relate to the standard "Merry Christmas," right? It's why I'd use it.
But you're still limiting who you're sending holiday greetings to.

So why not be specific in wishing Christians a merry Christmas and Jews a happy Hanukkah, or just send a generic "Happy Holidays" greeting... just a thought.

~By the way, happy Hanukkah Jews~

I'm amazed noone's posted Adam Sandler lyrics.

Ah, I'll do it.

Nah, I'll only post a portion so I can't be sued, and so y'all can join in:

"Put on your yamakah
Here comes Chanukah
So much funukah
To celebrate Chanukah..."
