I saw it. I thought it was really good.
This is sad though, and is why I never read christian reviews.

Look at all the negatives and the "Offensive" moral rating. Those people are idiots.
I guess I am an idiot then, because I totally agree with them. I wish I would have researched people's opinions more before I went, to be honest. I took my four-year-old to see it with a birthday party of other three-and four-year-olds. We were aware of the PG rating, which is supposed to be for "scary scenes."
What I got was a bunch of propaganda. My son was bored out of his skull. All around the theater (I looked) kids were either bored and wiggling around or were hiding their faces in their parents laps or shoulders.
The movie made fun of Christians, IMO. I am not a fundamentalist by any stretch, but I had a problem with the leader of the penguins being an unyielding, intolerant worshipper of the penguin god, and would rather the penguin parents send mumbles away because he was "different" and couldn't find a mate. I frankly am tired of the media portraying believers as being so intolerant and hateful.
The dancing was nicely done. I love Savion Glover, and I could tell he was used as a model. But the dancing was mostly only at the end. I mostly didn't like it because it was advertised as a friendly kid movie. Family fun! It was not so much about dancing penguins as about other stuff, and it was stuff I would not have subjected small kids to if I had known.

Cute yes! Good NO!! I enjoyed all the music and dancing. But the plot was so bad I left the theater saying to myself "What huh!?". One penguin amassing army's starting riots because he could dance really didn't float my boat. And also the movie was not even really about pengiuns dancing as much as it was about over fishing and tolerance. There were some major political under tones to the child movie.i saw Happy Feet on Friday! it is SOOOOO cute! it is family friendly & very well made![]()
