Thank you, friend! Today is Hosanna Sunday in the Coptic tradition (the feast of the Resurrection is not until the 12th), so now we celebrate our Lord's entry into Jerusalem. But is nice to receive your blessing on this holy day anyway. :) May our one Lord and God, Jesus Christ the King, bless you on this day when in your tradition He is risen!

Here is a Coptic hymn for today, "Evlogimenos" (Blessed is He), sung in Greek and English by a Coptic church in Canada.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6Ls1takorM

English translation (since this performance of it begins in Greek; there are English subtitles later on):

Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord; again in the Name of the Lord.
Hosanna to the Son of David; again to the Son of David.
Hosanna in the highest; again in the highest.
Hosanna to the King of Israel; again to the King of Israel.
Let us praise saying:
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia. Glory be to our God, and glory be to our God.

Thank you for sharing your Coptic tradition with me. Hosanna day sounds much like our Palm/Passion Sunday, so like my Eastern Orthodox brothers and sisters, it looks like your liturgical calendar is different from ours (this year...it's my understanding that every so-many years they actually line up. Other years they may be farther apart.)

Just some quick internet dabbling.......We will line up next on 04/16/2017 when the worldwide Christian community will celebrate Easter and Holy Week at the same time. We will be the farthest that we can get from each other this next coming Easter/Pasch. Western 03/27/16 Eastern 05/01/16.

Peace be with you, and have a beautiful and reflective Holy week as you begin to enter into the mystery of the passion, death, and resurrection of one Lord Jesus Christ whom we ALWAYS share, and make up the body of. Thanks be to God.
