Happiness in believing

I often have people ask me, "are you a Christian"? When I say yes, they often say, tell me how it came about and they assume that it was a great experience.
I on the other hand and glad that I am a Christian, but that doesn't mean I was really excited when I really started believing. I just woke up one night scared to death, and I just started then believing for some reason. I didn't before that night. I almost felt a sick feeling for a week after that but I knew what I was doing was right.
I feel like I worry more though, and am scared of death more, since I've started believing. Before then, I didnt even think about stuff like that. Have others had the same experience?

I think all new Christians experience that in varying levels. God has given you faith and now that belief in God means something to you and when we acknowledge God it causes us to face issues of our mortality.

It's very natural. The only thing that will make you feel better is to learn, by reading the Word of God and associating with other believers, why it is that you shouldn't worry.

Very natural jepattes. Not everyone has incredible born again stories, but that doesn't mean that God isn't working in your life and obviously He has had an impact on you.

You have come spirit to Spirit with the living God my friend. You are left, at first, realizing all that was in your past, He knows about and witnessed and He still takes time for you. He got you through difficult times and you didn't even realize He was there. While it is an awesome experience you will have natural reactions. I remember early on thinking I was a pitiful, minute, spec of dust on the sands of time. And I am compared to God and that's what the mere presence of His Spirit can do to you at first. It's so awesome, mighty and overwhelming that you realize that there is a huge plan to this seemingly chaotic world and you know that everything is going to be alright at the same time that you realize you have quite a ride ahead of you because this God knows no bounds and He knows your limits better than you and He will take you to them and show you them and together you will conquer them.

It's so awesome, mighty and overwhelming that you realize that there is a huge plan to this seemingly chaotic world and you know that everything is going to be alright at the same time that you realize you have quite a ride ahead of you because this God knows no bounds and He knows your limits better than you and He will take you to them and show you them and together you will conquer them.
