What's the problem?
I had a muslim au pair for a year, and it wasn't a roblem for me to buy halal meat. I was a bit concerned about the animal cruelty angle, so I didn't buy halal meat for the whole family, but it didn't bother me to buy a few peices of halal meat to keep the au pair going. The price was the same as normal meat.

THE PROBLEM IS MY KIDS ARE BRITISH CHRISTIAN NOT MUSLIM IM FED UP WITH THIS POLITICAL CORRECTNESS BEING FORCED DOWN OUR THROATS ALL IN THE NAME OF MULTICULTURISM.

if you don't like halal meat, get the non-halal version, they don't taste any different. It's not Political correctness, nobody made them do it. McScum saw that if they sold halal meat they would get more buissness. it's not like they're enforcing sharia law inside every store is it? taking more than 2 straws won't get your hand cut off. And I don't care about how islamic lands do things, this is Britain. fair game for all. cross the line and you get your teeth knocked out (well, y'know maybe not.

McDonalds miss out on influencing a cultural grouping of agents to purchase from them to nab a sector of the potential market?

*buries head in hands* If you don't want to eat halal food, just don't. Nobody's forcing you to eat it. Nobody's complaining about kosher or vegetarian food being offered, and nor should they. This looks like more blind hatred towards Muslims, and frankly, it scares me. There are much better things to get outraged about.

Who is forcing your children to eat halal MacDonalds? Not the British Government, not MacDonalds. MacDonalds using Halal meat isa nothing to do with political correctness, it is everything to do with increasing the possible Market Share which MacDonalds has. In fact describing any of what MacDonalds sell as 'meat' never mind halal is stretching things a bit. We would all be doing our children a favour by giving MacDonalds a wide berth anyway on health grounds, so if Halal meat is going to achieve that end for one or two families, then I'm all for it. Unfortunately it may end up encouraging others to partake...

The fact is that many cultures, britains especially, are a collection of practices borrowed inherited and gathered from all corners of the globe, and if the view your propose had prevailed in the first place we wouldn't have any culture to speak of.

Isn't halal meet sacrifised to Alah - i.e a false God? I was under the impresion that all the meet served was going to be halal meat, but i could be wrong
