Exodus 16:
2 Then the whole congregation of the children of Israel complained against Moses
and Aaron in the wilderness.
3 And the children of Israel said to them, Oh, that we had died by the hand of the Lord
in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat and when we ate bread to the full!
For you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.
Are you currently experiencing a significant lack of anything in your life that at one time
was in great abundance? Are you rejoicing over it?
Do you see the Lord bringing you to a place to learn that life is not in bread alone?
What are you currently experiencing a deep hunger for, even fasting and praying?
Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
For they shall be filled.
If you aren't seeking in the midst of lack, you are in danger of sinning instead.
"Now these things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust
after evil things as they also lusted" 1 Corinthians 10
Face with anticipation time spent in the"wilderness fringe" of this world and and the
kingdom of heaven. It is at the borders that the Lord reveals Himself Mighty.
Matthew 6:
31 Therefore do not worry, saying, What shall we eat? or What shall we drink?
or What shall we wear?
32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that
you need all these things.
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall
be added to you.
34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own
things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Ultimately, whatever you go through each day reveals what is in your spirit.
Is there a spirit that the world gives, or Christ our Lord?
2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love
and of a sound mind.
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives
do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
