Appearance
The Zea body, like the human body, has two arms, two legs and a head. Each arms ends in a hand with three thick fingers and a thumb. Although these digits have just as many joints as human digits, they are less dexterous because of the heavy layers of muscle and skin that surround them. Likewise, each leg ends in a foot with four long, thick toes. Gzi's skin was purple at birth, but it quickly turned a dirty black from reactions with the atmosphere.
Abilities
Like most Zea, Gzi is immensely strong, with tough skin designed to withstand a caustic atmosphere and falling debris. His outer layer of skin is nearly half an inch thick, and tough and leathery. Scales scattered in convenient places on his body protect his more vulnerable areas from small, unnoticed meteorites. His eyes are as hard as scales and mounted solidly in his head, so that he has to turn his head to look around.
Living near a black hole has made Gzi very familiar with slow, heavy things. He has never seen an Antheon, so the only fast thing he has any experience with is a meteorite, which he considers something to be ignored. Although his body is capable of about half the running speed of a human, the concept of running has never crossed his mind.
Since Gzi's lungs are used to the caustic atmosphere of Zane, he finds the atmosphere of human-friendly worlds too thin to breath. However, he can hold his breath for nearly an hour, which should be long enough for a fight.
Zea blood is a thin purple substance that runs quickly, but solidifies into an oily plug on contact with most atmospheres.
Background
The Zea have only three names: Gzi ("this person"), Agz ("that person"), and Zeg ("other person"). When there are more than three Zea around, they are never friendly enough to use names, so the Zea have never needed more than three names. When a Zea travels, he often must change his name.
This particular Zea has never changed his name. He was born in an isolated cave on Zane to his mother, Agz. Since his father had left the year before, there was no Gzi in the area, and so the newborn got the name. Six years later, another Zea arrived in the area, and Gzi put up with it for two years before leaving to be alone. He was lucky enough to find a desolate area a thousand miles across, and he settled there, not bothering to call himself anything as there was no one else around to talk to. He was still living alone when he was forced into the Tournament of Champions.
